Well, they do say one should never judge a book by its cover... and as regards Pokémon, and especially those in the early stages of their experience, that seems to be exactly the case. I am sure that a man of science like yourself will grow to become as fascinated with them as you are with your favored disciplines. That is what happened in my case, at any rate.
