003. Audio/also one other thing
[AUDIO]
[Well, the last month has seen Cobra attacking a bunch of children in the name of...taking over the world or something (and apparently plotting something else, if his last post over the Rocket frequency is any indication), one of the new scientists attempting to vivisect a Voltorb and threatening to blow up the lab in the process, Gorthan being a goddamn alien, and some member of the organization apparently losing his mind and going on an anonymous rampage the likes of which are rarely seen outside of...I don't know, 4chan.
Between all of this, March has pretty much confirmed to Descole that he is the only sane man in Team Rocket, and come the full moon he won't be surprised if everyone else in the base mutates into something horrific and develops an unholy craving for chicken hearts.
Today, he's trying to get his mind off of it; he's not exactly in the mood to put on much of a performance for the camera, so you can have an audio post instead today, Johto. His tone is clipped and a bit annoyed; this is due to the fact that he's had this damn...egg-thing for over a month now and he's trying to resist the urge to punt it across the room, but no one really needs to know that right now.]
For those creatures that are supposed to evolve through...I don't know, friendship or happiness or whatever you feel like calling it - how can you tell if these things even like you, much less are close to evolving?

I see your "friend" struck a second time.
We need to talk. Are you in town?

It's fairly easy to tell when they don't like you - but it depends on their personality. They're all quite different, in case you haven't noticed.
[The last part is mocking, but it's very light teasing.]
I've had to evolve one through friendship and it took me four months. It seemed to like me well enough the majority of the time, but from what I've read trading it away will essentially "reset" it's happiness level. Keep it out of the ball if you can, feed it treats, use items on it, let it battle without fainting... There are quite a few things you can do to get it to like you.
Most importantly, however, is to ensure that you keep it with you at all times. It will take quite a bit of time, but it should be worth it. What are you attempting to raise?
[Audio]
Ah, it's something that was captured over that...rather lovely Valentine's Day - one of those things that isn't commonly about in these parts. I'm not sure how one would describe it, other than utterly useless, but I'm sure I'll manage.
[Audio]
[Again, light teasing.]
I'm certain you'll manage to get an evolution out of it eventually, but it might be best to wait to train it, depending on what it evolves into.
[Audio]
From what I understand, its final form learns very few moves, if any at all. So some training is necessary, at least, assuming I want a properly varied movepool.
[Nerds. We are nerds, Archer.]
[Audio]
[Because things that evolve with stones typically don't learn any good moves after evolution. Look at that poor Honchkrow. Ugh. If only he'd kept it as a Murkrow for longer...]
It should be capable of learning some TM moves, correct? Those can certainly help, depending on what sort of moves it learns naturally.
[Well, yes, but who's complaining?]
[Audio]
[...that's true, isn't it.]
[Audio]
[Alright, the curiosity is killing him. What is this mystical murderbeast you've found, Descole?]
What is it? What does it evolve into?
[Audio → Video, then. Nosy.]
[However, for now he will oblige you - after a brief moment of sudden jittercam, you will be greeted with the sight of Descole's Mightyena, Louvaire, curled up on the floor and trying to sleep. This is being made difficult by the Togepi that's chilling on the floor with it, and by "chilling" we mean trying to get Louvaire's attention by repeatedly patting her upside the head with those stubby little arms of his. Not enough to even qualify as a hit, it's just. A lot of awkward patting. My god, this thing. There's something about it that inspires a lot of "I WANT TO KICK IT."]
I've seen what they evolve into, however; they're rather powerful, from what I understand.
[Audio] Good boy~
[...And it's going to be April soon. Archer isn't sure when Kimblee's birthday is exactly, but he does know it's in April. At the very least he could have the egg handy, assuming he can't get that cat he's been eyeing in the Adoption Center... Perfect!]
Yes, I've seen their evolution as well. It should be quite powerful once it evolves. Are these the only two you have?
[Might as well see if there's anything else he can ask Descole to breed~ Especially if he got one of those rare ones for Valentine's Day!]
[Audio]
I have seven more that I'm training; I don't use those two for battling. Might I ask why you're so interested?
[Audio]
I've been interested in breeding Pokémon for quite some time. I'm interested in breeding that Togepi of yours. Of course trading it would reset its happiness and you certainly don't need that - but I can trade you a Ditto. Would you be okay with that? I can pay you, if you'd like.
[Audio]
I don't see why not - and if we're talking about a paid transaction, I don't see why I can't allow you to have access to a few of the others as well.
[And a few moments later, list get, Archer.]
[Audio]
You certainly have collected some interesting Pokémon. I would like an Togepi egg as well as a Metagross - what do they start as? I'm not familiar with the species, but the typing is certainly fascinating. How do you like it?
[Oh, wait, there's one more...!]
It might take me awhile since I need to obtain one of my own to breed it with, but I'd be interested in obtaining a Scyther egg in the future as well. It has some interesting egg moves on it - did you obtain it from a breeder?
[Audio]
As for the Scyther, yes, that would be the case - I assume you're going to be allowing me the use of that Ditto for the other two, breeding-wise? Where are you located?
[Audio]
[Ugh, why are all these creatures so useless to begin with?]
I'm in Goldenrod; yes, I'll let you borrow the Ditto for the other two and I'll work on obtaining a Scyther for the third. Thank you.
